Troubleshooting
A buyer says they can't contact me
Why a buyer might not be able to message you, send a request or order, and what to check.
- Is your page published? Buyers can't see your page or its contact form until it is. See Set up your seller page.
- Is the listing taking requests? Paused, closed and archived listings can't be asked about. On a stock listing, check How buyers contact you.
- Did you block them? Check Messages › Blocked. A block stops their messages, new requests and buy-now orders.
- Are they signed in with a confirmed email? Buyers need an account with a confirmed email address to send a message or request.
- Have they sent several messages without an answer? A buyer can only send a few in a row before you reply. Answer them, and they can write again.
- Do they already have an open request on that listing? A buyer can have one open request per listing at a time. They can add to it in its messages.
- Buy now not working? Check your card payments are still active under Money › Payments, and that the listing has stock. See A buyer can't pay.
- Sending a lot of requests in a day? New accounts have a daily limit on requests, which lifts over time.
