Rescue listings
How registered rescues list an animal for adoption, and how adoption fees are reviewed.
Rescue listings are for registered rescue organisations rehoming animals. They're shown on their own in search, never mixed with sales, and they're the only place on PerfectPal that uses adoption wording.
Who can post them
- Set your seller type to Rescue organisation on Your page › Profile.
- Ask for the Registered rescue badge for that kind of animal under Settings › Verification, with your registration documents.
- Once staff approve it, List an animal for adoption appears on your Stock listings page.
The listing
One animal per listing. People apply, and you choose the home. Fill in what you know (age, why it needs a home, history, health, behaviour, and how it lives with other animals and children) and say plainly what you don't know.
- Adoption fee: enter 0 if there's none. PerfectPal takes nothing from adoption fees paid to rescues.
- Fee review: if the fee is higher than usual for a rescue listing, staff look at it before the listing goes public. It stays hidden until then, and you're told either way.
- Status: Looking for a home (shown), On hold (hidden) or Closed (hidden).
Rescue listings don't count toward your active listing limit. Deposits, contracts and the gone home photo are always available on their requests.
