Ringneck doves are gentle, quiet doves with a soft coo. They're easy to tame and good for people who want a calm bird.
Housing
A long, low flight cage or aviary at least 90 cm long with a solid floor area, since doves walk a lot. They don't climb like parrots.
They usually live 10 to 15 years.
Diet
A dove seed mix or pellet with greens, grit and a calcium source such as oyster shell.
Company
Single doves bond with people; pairs will breed often, so plan for the young or use dummy eggs.
