Princess parrots are gentle, long-tailed Australian parrots with soft colours. They need room to fly and do best in a long aviary.
Housing
A long aviary or a flight at least 2 m long suits them best; their long tails need space. They're usually calm and can become quite tame.
With good care many live 15 to 30 years, so plan for who will care for your bird if your life changes.
Diet
A quality parakeet seed mix or pellet, with greens, vegetables and sprouted seed every day.
Company
They're social and do well in pairs or small groups, and are usually peaceful with other birds their size in a large aviary.
