Diamond doves are small, quiet and gentle doves with soft cooing calls. They're easy to care for and do well in pairs, but they need room to walk and fly.
Housing
A wide flight cage or aviary, at least 75 cm long, with a solid floor area: doves spend a lot of time walking on the ground. Keep it low and long rather than tall.
They usually live 10 to 15 years.
Diet
A small-seed dove or finch mix, greens, and grit and a calcium source such as cuttlebone or oyster shell.
Company
Keep them in pairs. They're peaceful with small finches in a large enough aviary.
