Reviews

How reviews work after a sale: both sides review, they're revealed together, and buyers may add a follow-up later.

Only buyers who completed a sale with you can review you, so every review on your page comes from a real sale.

After a sale

When a request is marked completed or an order completes, you and the buyer are both asked for a review.

  • Double-blind: neither side sees the other's review until both are in, or the review period ends. Until then, you can change yours.
  • Ratings: only the overall rating (Poor to Excellent) is required. The parts (communication, health, honesty and accuracy, and so on) are optional, and buyers can add up to 4 photos.
  • Your review of the buyer helps other sellers: they see a buyer's average rating from sellers.

Reviews you still have to write are listed under Reviews to write on your dashboard's overview, with the date each closes. You can also open the request or order and choose Review this buyer.

Follow-up reviews

For some kinds of animal, buyers are asked for a short follow-up review some months after the sale, to say how the animal is doing. It's published as soon as they submit it. Whether there's a follow-up depends on the kind of animal.

Replying

You can Reply publicly to a review of you. Keep it calm and factual: buyers read replies too.

Problem reviews

Use Report this review if a review breaks the review policy (for example, it's abusive or about another sale). Staff decide; a removed review says it was removed by PerfectPal, with the reason. Staff don't remove reviews for being negative.

Your rating counts toward becoming an established seller. See Trust levels and labels.
